Sobe Halter Dress
The halter dress originated in ancient Greece and Rome where ancient women wore it for ceremonial purposes. In the 1920s, Coco Chanel made this style popular in fashionable society as evening wear for women during the day because it was considered to be more comfortable than a corseted gown. It became even more popular in the 1960s due to Twiggy's modeling for the British designer Mary Quant's first collection which included many halter dresses; her photo was on nearly every front page of fashion magazines worldwide at that time. Katharine designed this halter dress with a leather tie strap and light blues with precious greens. The green and blue are very welcoming including its vintage sari embellishment on the front attached to the tie.
